To get to Hama-Rikyu Tei-en Garden:
•Get off the train at either Shimbashi Station or Shiodome Station
•Head either for Exit 1 or Exit 5
•Once you’re outside, you will find yourself amid giant building complexes and a nasty overhead freeway. Do not despair. The garden is on the other side of the freeway, and it’s so huge, you can’t miss it. Plus, there are signs on the streets, pointing the way. The entrance is a little ways along the street that runs under the freeway.
If you’d like to visit another lovely (but smaller) garden while you’re in the neighborhood, Kyu-Shiba-Rikyu Garden is a less then ten minute walk away, next to Hamamatsu-cho Station.
