Hama-Rikyu Teien Garden

This garden used to be the shōgun’s duck hunting grounds, but now it’s an enormous stroll garden that’s beautiful in every season. As an added bonus, you can enjoy a bowl of matcha tea and a traditional tea ceremony sweet at the pavilion on the big pond’s island!

Hama-Rikyu Teien is famous for its plum orchard, (mid-late Feb), cherry blossoms, (late-Mar to early Apr), wisteriapeonies (late Apr to early May), cosmos (mid-late Sep)  and autumn leaves (mid-late Nov).
